Blog Session 7: A photograph you like

I like this picture because it is a good snapshot of the moment and it shows the force of nature, how small we are and how nature can destroy everything humans have built for years just in some seconds. It was taken in April during the eruption of this massive volcano and gives us a good perspective of how big, enormous and dangerous the eruption was. I think we can see how the wind carries the ashes and the volcanic material which allows us to think over the damage an eruption like this can cause to us. However, it does not show the consequences and the problems it caused to the inhabitants of the local towns and villages, both in Chile and in Argentina. Finally, I don't know exactly who took it but it appeared on the papers, there's no doubt it was taken by a professional photographer with a high resolution camera.

What about you? Is there a photo you like? Would you like to share it with us? Today you must write about a photograph you like.
